- Eat a healthy, balanced diet.
- Look for healthy eye nutrients in your diet
- Lutein
- Zeaxanthin
- Vitamins A, C, E
- Beta-carotene
- Omega-3 fatty acids
- Zinc
- Include Fruits and vegetables, especially deep yellow and green leafy vegetables.
- Eating fish high in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon, tuna etc
- Eggs are a great for eye care, yolks contain vitamin A, lutein, zeaxanthin, and zinc.

- Improve focusing
Change focus by switching between near and distant objects.
How to do?
- Sit in a comfortable chair with your feet flat on the floor.
- Hold your index finger a few inches from your eye.
- Stare at your finger.
- Slowly begin to move your finger away from your face, while maintaining your focus.
- Break your focus and look into the distance for a few seconds.
- Bring your focus back to your finger while you slowly move it back toward your eye.
- Break your focus again and stare at a distant object.
- Repeat this exercise 3 times.
- Roll your Eyes- for de-straining
How To Do?
- Sit or stand straight. Keep your shoulders relaxed, and neck straight, and look ahead.
- Look to your right and then slowly roll your eyes up towards the ceiling.
- Roll your eyes down to your left and from there, down towards the floor.
- Do this in the clockwise and anti-clockwise directions.
- Rub down eyes- for a quick refreshing
How to do?
- Sit or stand comfortably
- Rub your palms together until they feel warm.
- Close your eyes and place a palm over each eyelid. Imagine the warmth seeping into your eyes.
- Don’t press down with the palms on your eyeballs.
- Move your eyes- the 6 eye movements for a healthy vision
How to do?
- Close the eyes.
- Slowly move the eyes upward, then downward.
- Repeat three times.
- Slowly move the eyes to the left, then to the right.
- Repeat three times.
- Soothing massage
- With your eyes closed, gently massage your lids by rolling your index finger in a circular motion.
- To massage the lower lids, move your finger up towards your eye lashes.
- Repeat this 5-10 times.
- Just blink your eyes
- Sit comfortably and look at a blank wall.
- Close your eyes.
- Hold for half a second and then open your eyes.
- Do it 10 times to complete one set.
- Palm on your eyes exercise
- Sit on a chair and keep your elbows on a table in front you.
- Cup an eye in each palm.
- Breathe in and breathe out.
- Feel the tension release. Relax.
- Do it for 30 seconds straight before releasing the pose.
